1. What memory I DO have - So I have the worst memory on the planet. It’s amazing how much I’ve remembered to do this grateful thing every day. Yesterday was the first day I completely forgot. So I’m grateful that I’ve only forgotten one day so far!
2. My fan - I have a fan in my room that has lived with us for 9 years now. The thing still runs beautifully, although its blades are covered with dust I can’t seem to get off unless I take it apart, which I’m afraid to do because I’m afraid it will break if I do. I can’t sleep well without this fan. Its constant whir lulls me to sleep.
3. Days my daughter sleeps in - It’s incredible what an extra hour of sleep will do for me - and for her! Seems like our day goes much better.
As part of a small program to improve gratitude and happiness in my life, since I’ve been relatively miserable lately, I will be writing 3 things I’m grateful for here on Tumblr for the next 21 days. These things are part of a TED talk by Shawn Anchor. The small program also includes journaling every day, exercise, meditation, and conscious acts of kindness. I’m excited to get started. At the end of 21 days, I will put up a post on my blog about my experience. I recommend watching this talk. It’s really interesting.
